Technology Scotland is delighted to announce the launch of its latest network, Design Network Scotland, a new venture that will support organisations engaged in Scotland’s vibrant product and industrial design sector.

Solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges are being unlocked through advances in technology, providing innovative products across a number of global markets such as healthcare, energy, communications and mobility. Integration of these technologies into viable, efficient and commercially attractive products is crucial, and the partnership between technology and product design is becoming ever more important.

With the backing of Technology Scotland, the leading trade association for the Enabling Technology Sector, Design Network Scotland aims to be the champion of our product and industrial design sector. By raising awareness of the importance of design to future growth and competitiveness, we plan to support the sector and create a thriving, collaborative network to drive innovation and lead the conversation.

Stephen Taylor, CEO of Technology Scotland said, “We have long recognised the importance of good product design to the realisation and commercial success of many of the under-pinning technologies Technology Scotland represents. We believe that Technology Scotland provides a natural home for Design Network Scotland and we are excited by the possibilities that will emerge from strengthening the links between Scotland’s design and technology communities. We encourage those operating in these communities to engage with the network and help us grow Scotland’s profile as a home of innovation.”
